Duplex stainless steel has an α + γ dual-phase structure, so its performance characteristics are built of austenitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel. 2205 duplex stainless steel pipe is defined as smelting and manufacturing of stainless steel in which the ferrite phase and austenite are 50% each in comparison with the solidified structure.
